Developer Notes (Ep1) #3


Hello.


I proceed to work on part 2. 

I will tell you that I would very much like to release this version after 2 months and if I have to suddenly finish this part (put the end screen at some point) then I will do it.

Whether I'll succeed, we'll see, but I'll certainly work toward it. The main reason is that I will avoid unnecessary shortening of a given event; (because I want to show it in a given update, but I need to shorten it to avoid increasing the waiting time for this update.)

In other words, I can show more accurately what I have planned. With Ep1 p1, the delay came due to the fact that I had to complete the 3 paths that resulted from earlier choices, and hence I had to additionally produce more than 280 images.

Now, a few words on what I am currently working on.

So, I have to finish all 3 paths and bring them to the same point in time — the joint part (but even the joint part will differ in images and dialogues or the dialogues themselves). I don't even need to write what Ep1 p2 will cover because those who have played know what the MC's plan is for the evening or the whole weekend.

Now to the point:

— I have already posed the final part of the path "A" — 40 images have come out of that, and I still need to render it (part of it has already been rendered)

— end of the path "B" — I have to get to it, but it will contain fewer images than "A" or "C"

— end of the path "C" — that's what I'm currently working on — I already have the dialogues written now just to pose everything in daz3d

I won't elaborate more on this topic, because I don't know where I'll be (regarding the work on part 2) when I start writing the next report.

I also plan to make an end screen on which the player will see in the form of bars - statistics (red, blue and at what stage of the relationship is with a particular girl). 

As soon as I do this, I will present it.

In this version you've already seen the effects of some choices, and in the new version you'll see what I've added, as the player reaches a certain level of points with a given girl - hence the end screen, so that everyone knows at the end what the stats are after specific choices.

I was thinking about putting in some kind of player notification system, i.e.: After the choice (for example, appears the comment "she liked it" or something similar) but after some thought I won't do it because I don't want the player, when selecting a dialogue option, to wait for a suggestion - this option/choice is right. 

This is not why I am creating a "maze" so the player immediately finds a way out of it.
